As INWA instructors we have taught many courses in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Clients have been wonderfully varied
- from a 13-year old boy to a woman
of 84, from people taking no other exercise to people already running
10K races. We use several venues:
Upton
Court Park, on the southern edge of Slough. The park itself is a good
location and it is also close to the Jubilee River and to the network of
footpaths that encircles Eton.
Burnham Beeches, and the surrounding woodlands.
Dorney Common, to the west of Eton;
besides the Common itself we use the nearby Thames Path and the paths
(and hillsides) within the Jubilee River park.
DEMONSTRATION WORKSHOPS
These last about one and a half hours
(most of it spent walking, as we teach on the move). We teach you the basics and show you just how versatile and enjoyable a
Nordic walking fitness session can be. We show how you can use Nordic walking to
lose weight (in a brisk session you will burn about 400 calories per hour)
or to build stamina or muscle endurance.
Demonstrations cost £15 per person.

SIX-WEEK COURSES
We are in the process of arranging six-week courses at Thames Valley
Athletics Centre, between Eton and Datchet. The focus will be on fitness
as well as technique.

PERSONAL TRAINING WITH NORDIC WALKING
For people who prefer one-to-one training we offer personal training
programmes. We charge £25 per session and offer a discounted price of
£200 for a series of 10 sessions. A session lasts about 90 minutes. We
tailor the sessions to your own requirements.
